Germany raised its annual visa capacity for Indian skilled workers from 20,000 to 90,000 and backed it with consular staff, expanded VFS capacity and digital pre-checking of applications. The practical effect is real: complete, well-prepared files move faster than they did two years ago, and incomplete ones are rejected faster too.

- Booking the medical or travel before the visa issues.
- Submitting a file with a missing sworn translation, which restarts the clock rather than pausing it.
- Letting the candidate book their own appointment at the wrong mission for their jurisdiction.
