Our candidate desk fields the same question every day: Germany, Poland or the Gulf? Each corridor is right for a different profile. Here is the honest comparison, using 2026 figures for a skilled trade worker such as a welder or CNC operator.
Gross Salary
- Germany — €2,900 to €3,800 per month under collective agreements
- Poland — PLN 5,500 to 7,500 (roughly €1,300 to €1,750)
- UAE — AED 1,800 to 3,000 (roughly €450 to €750), with free accommodation and transport
Real Monthly Savings
- Germany — €600 to €1,300 after tax, rent and living costs
- Poland — €500 to €900, with lower rents and lower tax
- UAE — €350 to €650, because accommodation, transport and often food are provided and there is no income tax
Savings are closer than gross salaries suggest. Germany wins on absolute savings, Poland on savings-to-cost ratio, and the Gulf on how much of gross pay you keep.
Deployment Speed
- UAE — 1 to 25 days
- Poland — 1 to 3 months
- Germany — 3 to 5 months (longer where B1/B2 German is required)
Language
- UAE — English or Hindi on most sites
- Poland — English accepted on large sites; Polish helps
- Germany — none required for many industrial roles, A2 for drivers, B1–B2 for care and nursing
Family and Long-Term Rights
- Germany — spouse joins without a language test and may work; permanent residence in three years (21 months on a Blue Card); citizenship in five
- Poland — family reunification possible once you hold a residence card; EU long-term residence after five years
- UAE — family sponsorship depends on a salary threshold; no path to permanent residence for most workers
Contract Length and Stability
Gulf contracts run two years and renew at the employer's discretion; European contracts are usually open-ended or renewable with strong worker protections and a right to change employer after an initial period.
Working Conditions and Safety
German sites and plants operate under some of the strictest occupational-safety enforcement in the world, with works councils in larger companies and accident insurance paid entirely by the employer. Poland's standards have converged with EU norms, with variation between large international sites and small contractors. Gulf sites follow employer and project-owner standards that range from excellent on giga-projects to inconsistent on small contracts, and heat-stress rules are enforced seasonally.
Cost of Getting There
Candidates pay nothing beyond the capped fees Indian law permits for any of the three corridors when recruited through a licensed agency; employers bear the substantive cost. What differs is time: a Gulf worker earns from month one, a Polish worker from month two or three, and a German worker from month four or five — and, where B1 or B2 German is needed, later still. Factor the months without income into your decision as seriously as the salary.
Our Recommendation by Profile
- Need income fast, plan to return within a few years — the Gulf, deployed in weeks
- Want Europe with the fastest entry and lowest language barrier — Poland
- Planning a long-term future with family and residence — Germany, and start German now
