35 Welders and CNC Machinists Placed With Baden-Württemberg Machine Builders
The Challenge
Four Mittelstand machine builders in the Stuttgart region had carried unfilled welding and CNC vacancies for over a year. Each needed only eight to ten people — too few to justify their own overseas programme, and too many to keep covering with agency labour at 1.8–2.5× the hourly rate.
Our Approach
We scoped the four requirements as one pooled intake, tested candidates in India on each employer’s own processes, positions and control types, and filmed every test for review. All four employers filed Federal Employment Agency pre-approval and the §81a accelerated procedure through their local Ausländerbehörde, so the consular stage ran to statutory deadlines rather than queueing.
The Results
- 35 workers placed across four employers in a single coordinated intake
- Average time from specification to shop floor: 3.5 months
- EN ISO 9606 re-certification completed within the first fortnight for every welder
- Agency-labour spend on these positions ended at handover
