Step 1: The Type-A Work Permit
Your company applies to the regional Voivodeship Office with the job offer. For listed shortage occupations the labour-market test is waived; otherwise the local starosta confirms no local candidate is available. Processing takes 4–8 weeks. Step 2: Candidate Selection
While the permit processes, you interview trade-tested candidates by video — welders demonstrate on camera, drivers present verified licences. This runs in parallel, so selection costs no extra calendar time.
Step 3: The National D Visa
With the permit issued, each worker applies for a national D visa at the Polish mission in India. Complete dossiers clear in 2–4 weeks.
Step 4: Deployment
