Croatia has quietly become one of Europe's most open markets for Indian manpower — Indians now rank among the top recipients of Croatian work permits. The route is the unified stay-and-work permit, and timing is everything for seasonal employers.
Step 1: The Stay-and-Work Permit
The employer applies through the police administration, with a labour-market test at the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ) where required — many shortage roles are exempt. Processing runs a few weeks with complete files.
Step 2: Selection
Video interviews with verified candidates: hotel and restaurant staff with English and service training, construction trades, ship welders and fitters.
Step 3: Visa and Travel
Approved workers obtain the long-stay visa at the designated mission and complete Indian emigration clearance — our dossiers keep both stages moving.
Step 4: Arrival
Staged batches arrive 1–3 months after filing. For the tourist season, file 3–4 months before opening — May staff are hired in January.
Costs
Per-worker recruitment fee, state and consular fees, airfare. Croatian hospitality employers usually provide staff accommodation — a strong retention factor we verify before deployment.
Renewals and Retention
Permits renew with continued employment, and returning seasonal workers can be re-deployed faster in following years — many Croatian employers build a returning Indian crew within two seasons. See the Croatia hiring page for sectors and FAQs, or request a seasonal staffing plan.
