The Work in UAE
The UAE speciality coffee scene is competitive, and employers test practical skill rather than certificates: espresso extraction, milk texturing and latte art are usually demonstrated on a video call before selection. Roles sit in speciality cafés, hotel coffee bars and international chains, with counter service and cash handling forming part of the job.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Pulling espresso shots and adjusting grind for consistent extraction
- Steaming and texturing milk, pouring latte art to house standard
- Taking orders, upselling and handling payments at the counter
- Daily machine cleaning, backflushing and grinder calibration
- Stock rotation of beans, milk and packaged items

Eligibility & Requirements
- 1+ years barista experience
- Latte art an advantage
- Fluent English
- Age 21–35

No. UAE cafés trade late into the evening, so shifts rotate across the trading day.
Does experience on Indian coffee chains count?
Yes. Experience with commercial espresso machines transfers well; employers care about consistency under volume.
