UAE service roles range from casual dining chains to five-star hotel restaurants, and the two differ sharply in pace and expectations. Fine dining requires menu knowledge, wine service basics and polished English; casual outlets prioritise speed and volume. Service charge and tips can meaningfully supplement basic pay in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Day-to-Day Duties

Greeting and seating guests, taking orders on a POS tablet
Explaining menu items, specials and allergen information
Serving courses and beverages to the property standard
Setting and resetting tables between covers during service
Handling billing and closing checks accurately

Eligibility & Requirements

1+ years hospitality service experience
Good English communication
Well-groomed, customer-facing
Age 21–35

How good must my English be?

Conversational English is essential — you will take orders and describe dishes to international guests. Employers assess this on video call.
