The Work in Qatar
Pipe fitting in Qatar concentrates on LNG facilities, industrial plants and utilities work in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed. The role is drawing-driven: you work from isometrics to cut, prepare and fit spools for welders, and dimensional accuracy determines whether the joint passes inspection. Plant experience and the ability to read isometrics reliably separate candidates.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Reading isometric drawings and marking cut lengths and angles
- Cutting, bevelling and preparing pipe for welding
- Fitting and aligning spools, flanges and fittings to tolerance
- Supporting welders through fit-up and tack sequences
- Working under permit systems inside live plant areas

Eligibility & Requirements
- 3+ years as pipe fitter
- Able to read isometric drawings
- Trade test required
- Age 23–45

Shutdowns are fixed-window, high-intensity periods with substantial overtime, often on rotating day and night shifts.
