Shuttering carpentry in Qatar centres on formwork for concrete structures — columns, beams, slabs and walls — on infrastructure and commercial projects around Doha and Lusail. Employers look for workers comfortable with both traditional timber shuttering and modern panel systems such as PERI or Doka, since most sites now run a mix. Accuracy matters: formwork errors show permanently in the finished concrete.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Erecting formwork panels and timber shuttering to setting-out marks
- Checking plumb, level and alignment before concrete pours
- Installing props, ties and bracing to support the pour
- Striking formwork after curing without damaging panels or concrete
- Cleaning, oiling and stacking panels for the next cycle

Eligibility & Requirements
- 2+ years in shuttering / formwork carpentry
- Familiar with panel and traditional formwork
- GAMCA medical clearance
- Age 21–45
