Hire Indian Workers in Lower Saxony
Germany’s second-largest state by area runs an automotive and steel belt from Hanover to Wolfsburg and Salzgitter, crossed by two of the country’s busiest freight motorways — Indian workers for its plants, depots and care providers.
Where the A2 Meets the A7
Inland Lower Saxony is an industrial state that rarely markets itself as one. The triangle of Hanover, Braunschweig and Wolfsburg carries vehicle manufacturing and a deep supplier base; Salzgitter and Peine add steel and heavy industry; Osnabrück and the south-west host machine building and plastics. Where the A2 and A7 motorways cross near Hanover, distribution centres serve half the country.
Our northern page covers the ports and the coastal food cluster; this page is for employers inland. We recruit production, maintenance and logistics staff under the experience-based route and care staff for Hanover region providers through recognition-led pipelines, with BA pre-approval and the accelerated procedure as standard.
Roles We Deploy
Why Lower Saxony Employers Recruit From India
- Metal and electrical industry agreements give skilled roles pay that clears visa requirements
- Supplier plants staff from zero after each new contract and benefit from cohort recruitment
- Housing outside Hanover and Wolfsburg city centres is reasonably priced for employer-arranged lets
- The motorway hub creates year-round logistics demand that matches Indian warehouse experience
- A sizeable student and professional Indian community in Hanover and Braunschweig eases settling in

Pay, Conditions & Timeline
Skilled production and metal trades under the metal and electrical agreements typically earn roughly €3,000–3,800 gross per month, logistics roles from the statutory minimum to around €16.50 per hour, and care assistants roughly €2,600–3,100, with shift supplements on top.
Plan three to four months for industrial roles with pre-approval and around a year for care roles including language. One-time employer investment is usually in the range set out in our cost guide.
Figures are indicative market ranges and not a quotation; the signed service agreement governs. See our Terms & Conditions.
Employer FAQs
How is this different from your Hamburg and northern Germany page?
That page focuses on the ports, shipyards and coastal food processing across the four northern states. This one covers the inland industrial belt — automotive supply, steel, machine building and the Hanover logistics hub.
Can you staff a supplier plant ramp-up?
Yes, in staged batches against your start-of-production dates, with supervisors and maintenance staff recruited ahead of operators.
Do production roles require German?
Not for the visa in non-regulated roles. Many plants run safety instructions in German, so we plan A2 within the first year and bilingual shift leaders where possible.
Do you recruit for public employers in the region?
Yes. Municipal care providers, hospitals and transport operators can hire from India under the same routes; public procurement rules may govern how they appoint an agency.
