Hire Indian Workers in Saxony & Eastern Germany
The east is building high-technology capacity faster than its demographics allow — Indian technicians, operators and logistics crews for Leipzig, Dresden, Chemnitz and beyond.
A Demographic Gap the East Cannot Close Alone
Saxony has attracted major semiconductor and automotive investment while carrying Germany’s steepest demographic decline. Leipzig has become a logistics hub of national importance; Dresden anchors microelectronics; Chemnitz and Zwickau keep significant automotive capacity. All of them face the same arithmetic — more roles each year, fewer local workers entering the market.
We supply eastern employers with production operators, technicians, logistics crews and care staff. Pay in the east sits below the southern states, so we check the FEG salary floor particularly carefully here: it is the one region where the floor, rather than the collective wage, often sets the contract.
Roles We Deploy
Why Eastern Employers Recruit From India
- Housing is the most affordable of any German region, so employer-arranged accommodation is genuinely cheap
- New plants are staffing from zero and can build a multinational floor culture from the start, rather than retrofitting one
- Cleanroom and precision assembly reward the discipline Indian candidates bring from Gulf and Indian industrial work
- Logistics hubs around Leipzig run around the clock, and shift premiums lift take-home pay meaningfully
- We check every eastern contract against the FEG floor, so a wage that is normal locally does not block the visa
From Requirement to Eastern Plant
Roles and pay tested against the FEG floor and any collective agreement — the critical step in this region.
Practical assessment in India, video interviews with your plant or ward leads.
BA consent plus §81a through the local Ausländerbehörde.
Registration, housing handover, safety induction and a funded language course from month one.
Pay, Conditions & Timeline
Eastern pay runs below the national average: production operators roughly €2,500–3,100 gross per month, maintenance technicians €2,800–3,500, logistics €13.90–15.50 per hour, care assistants €2,500–2,900. Shift premiums add 10–25 percent in three-shift operations.
Where a collective agreement does not bind the employer, the FEG floor of roughly €43,000 gross per year applies to the experience-based route — a figure above local norms for some roles. We flag this before scoping so there are no surprises at the pre-approval stage.
Figures are indicative market ranges and not a quotation; the signed service agreement governs. See our Terms & Conditions.
Employer FAQs
Will the FEG salary floor block hiring in the east?
It can, for roles paid at local entry rates with no binding collective agreement. We check this first. Where the floor is not met, options are a higher grade, a bound collective agreement, or the Ausbildung route for younger candidates.
Can you staff a new semiconductor or automotive plant?
Yes — operators and technicians in staged batches against commissioning, with supervisors recruited first. Cleanroom protocol training happens on site in the first weeks.
Is integration harder in smaller eastern towns?
It takes more deliberate effort. We advise cohorts rather than individuals, employer-arranged housing close to the plant, and a named contact from day one. Employers who do this retain workers as well as anywhere in Germany.
