The Faster Route Into German Elderly Care

German care homes cannot fill assistant positions, and the registered-nurse route from India takes eighteen months or more. Many Indian candidates hold GNM or ANM qualifications, general-duty-assistant diplomas or years of hospital-attendant experience β€” profiles that map to the German care-assistant level and can be productive far sooner.

We recruit care assistants for German providers under the same ethical framework as nursing: no fees to workers, employer-funded B1 German, transparent contracts and MEA-licensed emigration. Providers choose between assistant-level recognition of the Indian qualification, the recognition partnership, or the one-year German assistant training completed while employed.

Roles We Deploy

Care Assistant (Pflegehelfer)
Basic care, mobility support, documentation under nurse supervision
Nursing Assistant (Pflegeassistent)
One- or two-year assistant qualification or recognised equivalent
Home-Care Assistant
Ambulant services; driving licence an advantage
Dementia Care Support
Experience in geriatric units preferred
Care Trainee (Ausbildung)
Younger candidates entering the assistant or full nursing programme

Why Providers Choose Indian Care Assistants

  • Large pool of GNM/ANM and hospital-attendant profiles suited to assistant level rather than registered nursing
  • Twelve-month pipeline including B1 German β€” half the time of a registered-nurse recognition
  • Cultural orientation towards elder care and family-style support, valued in dementia and long-term care
  • Many progress to full nursing recognition or Ausbildung after arrival, building your future registered-nurse pool
  • Ethical, documented recruitment that satisfies state and church-based provider standards

Selection and route choice

We match candidates to your state’s assistant framework and advise whether recognition, recognition partnership or training visa fits each profile.

2
B1 German in India

Six to eight months of intensive training with care vocabulary; Goethe or telc certification.

3
Recognition or training contract, then visa

Assistant-level recognition file or training contract, BA pre-approval and the accelerated visa procedure.

4
Arrival, onboarding and progression

Our Europe desk supports registration and the first months; providers often fund progression to full nursing.

Pay, Conditions & Timeline

Care assistants under public and church-based collective agreements earn roughly €2,600–3,100 gross per month in 2026 with shift supplements; state-funded care requires collectively agreed pay levels.

One-time employer investment is typically €5,000–8,000 per assistant including B1 training, recognition, fast-track fee and travel. Timeline is about twelve months from selection to ward.

Figures are indicative market ranges and not a quotation; the signed service agreement governs. See our Terms & Conditions.

Employer FAQs

Do care assistants need B2 German?

No β€” B1 is the requirement in most states for assistant roles. B2 is required only for registered-nurse recognition.

Can a care assistant later become a registered nurse in Germany?

Yes. Assistants with GNM qualifications can pursue nursing recognition, and others can enter the three-year nursing Ausbildung while employed.

What experience do you require?

A GNM/ANM or equivalent qualification, or at least two years of documented hospital or care-home attendant experience, plus willingness to reach B1.
