Hire Indian Shipyard & Outfitting Workers
A hull is only part of the job. We recruit the assemblers, pipe fitters, marine electricians and outfitting trades that Baltic yards need to get a vessel through to delivery.
Order Books Depend on Outfitting Crews
Polish shipbuilding today is mostly specialist work: ferries, offshore support and wind-installation vessels, naval and research ships, steel hull blocks for yards elsewhere in Europe, and a lot of repair and conversion. Much of the labour on these projects comes through subcontractors, who are paid per block or per system. When a pipe-fitting or outfitting crew is short, the delivery date slips.
Our welders page covers the welding itself. This page is about the other yard trades: hull assemblers who fit and align plates and profiles, ship pipe fitters who build and install piping systems from isometrics, marine electricians, insulation and joinery crews, and the painters and blasters who protect the steel. Indian candidates with experience in Indian, Gulf or Far East yards already know block construction and confined-space discipline. We test them against your drawings before shortlisting.
Roles We Deploy
Why Polish Yards and Subcontractors Recruit From India
- Candidates come from block-construction yards and already know the sequence from hull to outfitting
- Pipe fitters are tested on isometrics and spool fabrication, not only on what their CV says
- Confined-space, hot-work and height discipline is screened in selection and then retrained on site
- Crews can be built per system (piping, electrical or insulation) to match how subcontracts are let
- Contracted crews stay for the whole project instead of leaving halfway through outfitting
From Subcontract Package to Yard Gate
Systems, drawings, crew sizes per trade and the yard’s induction and certification rules, all set against the project schedule.
Fit-up, spool fabrication or cable-termination tasks from sample drawings, filmed and scored. Your yard supervisors then interview the shortlist.
A type-A file per worker, submitted while selection runs, followed by the national D visa and Indian emigration clearance.
Confined-space, hot-work and height courses plus the yard’s own induction in the first week, then the crew joins the block or system.
Pay, Conditions & Timeline
Indicative 2026 bands: hull assemblers and ship pipe fitters around PLN 5,800–7,500 gross per month, marine electricians in a similar range, and outfitting, insulation and painting crews around PLN 5,000–6,500. Overtime on deadline-driven blocks can add considerably. Subcontractors usually arrange housing near the yard.
Crews typically reach the yard gate one to three months after the permit file is lodged complete. If your projects run on a block schedule, file permits one milestone ahead so crews arrive when the steel does.
Figures are indicative market ranges and not a quotation; the signed service agreement governs. See our Terms & Conditions.
Employer FAQs
How is this different from your welders page?
Welders are tested to a welding procedure. Yard outfitting trades are tested on fit-up, piping, electrical and insulation tasks taken from drawings. Most yard packages need both, and we can staff them in one intake.
Can a subcontractor, rather than the yard, be the employer?
Yes. The type-A permit is held by whichever Polish company employs the worker. For a subcontractor working inside a yard, that is normally the subcontractor itself.
What safety training do outfitting crews need?
Yards require confined-space, hot-work and height instruction plus their own site induction. We confirm the list during scoping so it can be booked for the first week.
Do pipe fitters read drawings in English?
Our shortlists are tested on English-language isometrics. If your drawings carry Polish annotations, send us a sample and we will test against it.
