Hire Indian Truck Drivers for Poland
Polish hauliers move a large share of EU road freight and cannot fill their cabs β Indian drivers recruited with a written licence-conversion and Code 95 plan, not a promise.
Europeβs Haulage Fleet, Short of Drivers
Polish transport companies carry a large share of European road freight, and driver shortage is the single biggest constraint on their growth. The age profile of the existing workforce means the gap widens annually, and competition with German and Dutch operators for the same drivers pushes wages up without solving supply.
Indian heavy-vehicle drivers β many with Gulf long-haul experience β are a genuine answer, provided the employer is honest about the qualification path. An Indian licence cannot be exchanged directly: drivers obtain a Polish C+E licence and the Code 95 professional qualification after arrival, working in yard or depot roles while they qualify.
Roles We Deploy
Why Polish Hauliers Recruit From India
- Deep pool of drivers with five to fifteen years of heavy-vehicle experience and verifiable records
- Gulf long-haul backgrounds bring familiarity with GPS dispatch, digital logs and strict scheduling
- Drivers earn in depot roles from week one rather than waiting unpaid through conversion
- English literacy supports CMR documents, tachograph handling and loading-point communication
- Written qualification plans mean transport planners know the date a driver joins the roster
From Selection to Solo Driving
Licence category, driving history and medical pre-screening; Gulf experience prioritised.
Filed through praca.gov.pl in parallel with selection, then the visa at the Polish mission in India.
Drivers start as yard or warehouse operatives, earning while licence training begins.
Theory and practical tests with your driving-school partner, the professional qualification, then route induction.
Pay, Conditions & Timeline
Polish international drivers typically earn a base plus subsistence allowances that together reach roughly PLN 7,000β11,000 net per month depending on routes and time away; national distribution sits lower. During the qualification phase, depot roles are paid at the applicable rate.
Six to nine months from recruitment to solo driving, of which two to four months is licence conversion and Code 95 after arrival. Conversion and qualification cost roughly PLN 6,000β12,000 per driver, usually employer-funded against a service commitment.
Figures are indicative market ranges and not a quotation; the signed service agreement governs. See our Terms & Conditions.
Employer FAQs
Can an Indian driving licence be used in Poland?
Not for professional driving. Drivers take the Polish theory and practical tests for category C+E and complete the Code 95 professional qualification. Experienced drivers need focused lessons, not full training.
What should the contract state?
Who funds licence conversion and Code 95, the pay during qualification, the expected date of first solo route, and the accommodation arrangement. We do not place drivers without all four in writing.
Do drivers need Polish?
Basic Polish helps at loading points, but English plus the universal tachograph and CMR documentation carries most international work. Employers who fund a short Polish course see fewer dispatch problems.
